If you will be staying in the Monmouth County area while your pet is being spayed or neutered, here is a list of things to do or places to eat to help you pass the time.
Holmdel Park and Longstreet Farms-take a hike or a jog here. Very scenic with hilly terrain. There are also several playgrounds, a pond with great birdwatching, and a real working farm to visit and explore.
Monmouth Museum- located in Brookdale Community College. Has a nice art gallery and a children's wing.
Red Bank- 20 minutes south of us on 35. This town has tons of unique shops, restaurants, and a throwback 80s arcade.
Turning Point in Holmdel Commons- our favorite breakfast joint.
MJ's- fair prices for good food at this local chain bar and grill, about 2 miles south of us on 35.
Dearborn Market- 1 mile north of us on 35. Has niche grocery items, fresh produce, plant nursery, bakery, and a deli with monster sandwiches.
Duck Donuts- 2 miles south on the northbound side of 35 in Middletown. Try the Maple Bacon.
Jersey Shore Premium Outlets- 20 minutes South in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Sandy Hook Beach- just 30 minutes away
