We are pleased to offer the following services at the The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel, NJ clinic:
Spay and Neuter Surgery
We are a low cost spay and neuter surgery clinic for dogs and cats. All prices include a brief pre-operative exam, anesthesia, surgery, pain medication, and follow up visits as needed. We do perform other soft tissue surgeries (such as pyometras, gastropexies, tail amputations, etc) on a case by case basis. Please call us for more details and pricing.
If your pet has fleas at the time of surgery, he/she will be treated with a Capstar (a safe, rapid acting flea treatment). The cost to you is $10.
If you do not have proof of updated Rabies and Distemper vaccines, they will be updated at the time of surgery. The cost is $25 per vaccine.
If an umbilical hernia is noticed at the time of surgery, it will be repaired. The cost is $20.
Your pet must be feeling well the day of surgery and be free of signs of contagious diseases.
Your dog/cat must be under the age of 5 to be approved for surgery without pre-operative bloodwork. If your pet is over this age, please call us and we can schedule an appointment for a veterinary exam and bloodwork prior to surgery. If the bloodwork and physical exam results are within normal ranges, we can go ahead and schedule the surgery. Depending on the age of your pet, there may be additional fees that apply for extra monitoring and IV fluids for the duration of the procedure. You will have an estimate of any additional fees before surgery is done.
We offer wellness services for new puppies and kittens, rescue group fosters, and our surgical patients. Ultimately, we want our clients to find a private practitioner that they are comfortable with for their pet's long term care. However, it is important to us that new pets (especially puppies and kittens) get the vaccines and preventative care they need to get off to a healthy start in their forever home.
Please see our new patient center section for information on the above services.
Follow Up Care
We are available during normal business hours for surgical rechecks. These exams are built into our surgical pricing. If your pet needs additional medication or treatments, there will be extra charges. Please call us if you have any questions or if you think your pet needs to be seen by the veterinarian. After hours we are reachable by our email address for post-operative concerns at [email protected]
The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey accepts payment via cash, debit, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered. To expedite discharges at the end of the day, payment is requested when you drop off your pet in the morning.
We provide estimates for all spay/neuter surgeries and any additional services.
